The surname Gallienne is one of the oldest in the island of Guernsey. There are records of Galliennes in the southern parishes of Torteval, St Pierre du Bois and Forest as early as the 12th Century.

My branch can be traced back as far as the family of Guillaume Gallienne who lived in St Pierre du Bois in the 18th Century.
